I am a student of the Earth, always observing, learning, and growing. My passion for the natural world has stemmed from a childhood filled of love, play, and exploration of the woods where I grew up, as well as the deep study of plants, animals, and Earth sciences. As my perspective and understanding of the world matures, I am becoming more aware of human reality and my place in it. Quite frequently, however, human reality doesn’t involve plant, animal, and Earth reality. I feel it’s my life’s purpose to bridge that gap, living to become closer to nature, to our food systems, and to myself, and to walk lightly and instill positive changes wherever I step. I am writing this blog to capture and to share my path along the journey.
